materials, techniques and processes in art and design

this is an example of painting that has been made using ink. most of these paintings are very unique and are allot sharper than watercolours. a strength of ink paintings is that they are more permenant than most other methods of painting but a weakness is that it costs allot more than other paints.

*this is an exapmle of the use of water colours to create a painting. notice how many parts the painting are very pale and blended. a strength of watercolours is that they are relatively cheap and blend very well, many artists prefer watercolours. a weakness of water colours is that they can fade away gradually unless preserved properly.

this is a piece of art that is drawn by pencil almost every artist draws in pencil or at the very least uses it as an outline this is because pencils are a very accurate form of art which is a strength. a weakness of pencil art is that it is very time consuming.

this is an example of pen art notice how there is great detail in it but unfortuanatly it takes allot of time to make pictures in as much detail as this but a positive is that it is cheap and you only need a biro.
